Our goal is to make Research Computing a user-friendly facility where you can pursue your research activities without being encumbered by needless restrictions. In keeping with this goal it is our intent to keep our policies simple and straightforward while keeping the number of rules and restrictions needed to enforce those policies to a minimum.
That said, we serve a large user community and there are some things that need to be clearly stated to ensure that facilities are reliable, accessible, and productive for everyone who depends on them. Please take a few minutes to review our policies before starting your work on HiPerGator. We think you will find them simple and reasonable. If that is not the case, we want to hear about it. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or feedback regarding these policies or anything else regarding Research Computing.
Our policies fall into these general categories:
- Jobs and Processes
- Groups and Allocations
- Licensed Software
- Operation During a Pandemic
These policies are in addition to the University of Florida Acceptable Use Policy.
